Article Marketing Strategies To SkyRocket Your Business Online

Its been 2 days, my tea is cold, I haven’t had a shower and I’m still staring at a word document titled “Article Marketing“.

Its official people, I have writers block.

Isn’t it one of the main reasons people quit blogging?

I’m not sure If I’ve reached that point in my life yet. To quit blogging that is.

But one thing is for sure, I’m never going to get started on writing this article on Article marketing.

Its almost after 6 months that I’m getting back to writing this post, in the hope that I will complete it this time around.

Article marketing is a very interesting subject for me to talk about as a blogger. Many might not know that blogging is article marketing in a way. I will talk about it in detail later in this post.

If you are not sure what article marketing stands for here is a basic definition:

“Article marketing is a type of advertising in which businesses write short articles about themselves, their company or their field of expertise as a marketing strategy. A primary style for the articles includes a bio box and byline (collectively known as the resource box) about the business.” ~ Wikipedia

There are thousands of bloggers, internet marketers and even some businesses that have applied the wrong article marketing strategy and ended up being penalised by Google Panda update.

How to Recover From Google Panda Penalty

Google Panda update is just around the corner and bloggers, marketers and businesses are scrambling to get their sites fixed. Some claim that if you were penalized in the past over a Panda update, then this refresh will help you get out of the penalty. It’s been almost a year since the update and marketers are hoping that the penalty to their sites are lifted and they are back on track to make money online.

If you haven’t heard of Google Panda updates here is a quick and short definition.

Google Panda is a filter that prevents low quality sites and/or pages from ranking well in the search engine results page. The filter’s threshold is influenced by Google Quality Raters. Quality Raters answer questions such as “would I trust this site with my credit card?” so that Google can distinguish the difference between high and low quality sites. ~ Wikipedia

You can also educate yourself about various other definitions related to the field of Internet Marketing.

The first thing you want to do is to know if you have been hit by Panda. Moz maintains a Google Algorithm Change History where you can read about the algorithm updates that have been released and also some details pertaining to location and impact.

Sites both large and small have been the victim of the Panda update and some businesses have even shut down because they are no longer able to make money online. To ensure that you recover from such panda penalty I’ve put together a list of precautions or corrective measures that you can take to avoid and recover from Google Panda update. This article is entirely based on my experience being affected by Google Panda penalty on one of my tech blogs. Please use your own discretion while making changes to your blog or website.
